With all the children asleep time for some reflection on the day…
Mrs Gabriele’s group proved to be expert canoeists. They were unable to capsize their boats so had to jump out in order to experience the wonderful Kit Hill Quarry water. Mrs Gabriele was very impressed with the children’s water confidence.
Climbing in the morning also went well with the children’s teamwork and support of one another a standout feature. Tilly proved to be the speediest climber but everyone had a really good.go at getting as high as possible.
Miss Robinson’s group showed terrific fortitude this afternoon, battling the rain and having fun with archery. They also had to cope with heavy rain at the end of their orienteering challenge on Kit Hill but were determined to complete the challenge and find all the control points. At least you are climbing indoors tomorrow!
Mr Wallis was stunned by the enthusiasm of his group on the climbing wall. There were some worried faces at the start but nearly everyone got to the top and grabbed the orange smiley face. All children very pleased with themselves.
A brilliant day ended with more tasty food cooked by the excellent Angie followed by traditional games and then it was time for sleeping bags and pillows in the lounge to watch James and the Giant Peach. Join us tomorrow for our final posts.
