On Tuesday 30th April Key Stage One children visited Woodland Valley Farm in Ladock to explore as part of this half term’s topic of ‘Food and Farming’. The children learnt how to plant and grow food on the farm as well as maintain key hole gardens. They grew onions, cabbages, lettuces and horse radishes. It made many children feel very hungry! The children were introduced to the animals on the farm and learnt about what they eat and some other interesting facts, for example, the children were fascinated that cows and sheep have four stomachs! A fun day was had by all and a big thank you to all who helped.
