KS1 started their sports day with a fine extravaganza! The children paraded around the field wearing their fabulous masks, dancing and playing samba music in the bright sunshine- bringing the Carnival of Rio to Truro!
We were delighted to see the large number of supporters who came to cheer us on. The children didn’t disappoint the crowd and put on a fine show of athletic prowess- sprinting, hurdles, penalty shoot-out, standing long jump, javelin, and throwing and aiming skills in the ‘tin can alley’.
As well as having great fun, every child earned points for their team, but Zennor were the overall winners. Well done to everyone taking part, and many thanks to the Year 6’s for keeping score, and to FOBSA for providing well-earned ice lollies to end the day!
