KS1 are learning about the Arctic this term and we are finding out some exciting facts about the countries, life and animals above the Arctic circle. To help our understanding of the environment in the Arctic this week all 90 children in KS1 put on their winter clothes and travelled to Eden for some ice play. Despite the inclement weather we were very lucky to see the sun shine as we arrived. Luckily the ice in the rink did not melt – it was cold and wet, just like the Arctic. We all had so much fun playing with sledges, rocking horses, ride on toys and much more – even the adults joined in! We also saw some interesting plants and sculptures as we walked through the site. See below for just a taste of the fun!
