Welcome one and all to the Friends of Bosvigo School Association page, or to make it easier FOBSA!
We are a a group of friendly parents/carers and teaching staff who get together (mostly at school after children have been collected, but occasionally during the evening in a local pub) to discuss and implement ideas on how we can raise additional funds to enhance the education of the children at Bosvigo.
You will see us selling cakes in the playground or serving refreshments at school events as well as running a popular second hand uniform stall. We are the driving force behind the Summer and Winter Fair's and also organise other events such as a sponsored Bike Ride, Family breakfasts and Movie nights.
FOBSA also supports the school community by working with Fareshare where we make weekly local supermarket collections, collect good quality non chilled produce that would otherwise be disposed of and make it available to any families who would like it. In 2018 FOBSA was awarded the prestigious title of Top organisation in the South West for contact and collections.
We rely totally on volunteers, people like you, to help make all of this happen. Some like to come along to meetings, others like to stay in touch and contribute via email. Some can give an hour of their time for a food collection or at a Fair to help man a stall, others like to donate items for the raffle or may work somewhere who can either donate a gift or match fund.
We have our Friends of Bosvigo School Association Facebook page which is regularly updated, please like the page and get involved! We are always open to fresh ideas and would welcome your input. Please be assured of a warm welcome to any of our meetings (children very welcome to attend our after school meets).
We appreciate every single offer of help, we couldn’t be FOBSA without the support of the Bosvigo community.
