Welcome to Bosvigo School

Bosvigo School is a mid-sized primary school located in the heart of Truro with just over 300 pupils.

The most striking feature of Bosvigo School is the children. They are friendly, thoughtful and caring people with a genuine appreciation of one another. Our children work hard, try their best and thoroughly enjoy their learning. They have great ideas which they are keen to share at every opportunity and together with the staff of the school they are always looking for ways to make Bosvigo the best it can be.

On Thursday we were joined by Michael from INTOTRI, who have organised four mini triathlons across Cornwall this summer. Headteacher's welcome

Welcome to our school website. I hope that reading this will help those interested in our school get a sense of how Bosvigo is organised, what we value most and the opportunities we aim to provide for all our learners.

Bosvigo School is a medium to large primary school located in the heart of Truro. The 315 children who attend our school are arranged into 11 classes, which themselves are organised into four Phase Teams: Foundation Stage (Reception Year), Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2), Lower Key Stage 2 (Years 3 and 4) and Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 and 6).

Bosvigo was last inspected in December 2016 when we were judged to be a good school. The inspection found that we had a friendly, caring atmosphere and we had a "determined ambition" that pupils will do well academically.

A link to the full school report can be found on the Bosvigo School page on the Ofsted website. I am extremely proud to lead a team that is committed to providing the very best opportunities for the children who attend Bosvigo School. Staff, supported by governors, work hard to deliver a rich and purposeful curriculum, preparing children for future education and helping them to acquire the skills and qualities needed to pursue learning for the rest of their lives.

The enriching experiences provided for the children are encouraged and supported by their parents and families, whose confidence, help and support we enjoy. This relationship is a cornerstone to the future work of the School.

The best way to learn more about our school is to come and visit, to see us in action and to meet the staff and children. To arrange a visit to the school, please contact the office via telephone (01872 274034) or email (secretary@bosvigo.cornwall.sch.uk).

We look forward to welcoming you to our school and to a happy and successful partnership with all our new children and families.
